This glass is a mesmerizing melding of form and function. The initial draw to clear the down stem is a bit of a workout for your diaphragm, but once it clears into the first chamber it’s a much easier draw, and the percolators produce so much aeration that the bubbles rise to the mouthpiece if you overfill (I use about the same water level shown on the demo video on the website, but you can also fill into the 2nd chamber to cover that perc if you control your draw, otherwise you might get some water in your mouth).
The blemish on the base that qualified this piece as a 2nd doesn’t affect the function in any way. I would never have even noticed if I didn’t know it was a 2nd beforehand.
I’ve had my eye on this piece for a WHILE now, and snatched it up at a big discount and I couldn’t be happier.
